For Us By Us separates live market data from public-disclosure records because they come from different systems and have different levels of timeliness.

Market prices

Stock search and quote data are supplied by Finnhub. Prices may be delayed or unavailable and are not exchange-certified execution quotes.

Disclosure records

A record will be labeled “Verified” only when it can be matched to an official House or Senate filing. Each verified record should retain the filer, chamber or office, transaction date, filing date, asset description, ticker when resolvable, transaction type, amount range, and source link.

Ticker resolution

Filings may use asset names rather than clean ticker symbols. We will distinguish tickers stated in the source from tickers inferred through research. Ambiguous assets will remain unresolved instead of being guessed.

Corrections

Amended filings will be linked to the original record where possible. Material corrections should be timestamped and explained rather than silently overwritten.

Current status

The tracker uses a curated 2026 feed derived from the MIT-licensed Congress Trading Monitor dataset. A record is displayed only when it includes a direct official House Clerk or Senate eFD filing URL. Users should open the linked filing to confirm every field.
